On Oct. 25, 2018, Villa Manor Care Center in Lakewood, Colorado, hosted an open house breakfast with a fall harvest theme.
Approximately 115 guests from the local senior services community, including the CEO of the Colorado Health Care Association and the program director from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, attended. The dietary team served made-to-order omelets, as well as pancakes, sausage patties, breakfast potatoes, cheese and crackers, pastries and coffee.
Besides enjoying the food and camaraderie, attendees had the chance to tour the facility’s new wing featuring all private rooms for long-term and skilled care residents.
“Many of our guests had not visited Villa Manor for many years, and the majority of the compliments were on how amazing the building looked, which was great to hear,” said Sara Dent, executive director. “My favorite part of the event, however, was our ‘longevity is the key’ boards. They had pictures of our staff who have been here over 15 years with their years posted on the pictures. Everyone was talking about it and how great our retention rate must be.”
Guests also received goody bags to take home with them.
