Villa Manor Care Center in Lakewood, Colorado, recently earned a state survey with no deficiencies.
To pass the state survey each year, nursing facilities must meet hundreds of criteria. These address not only nursing care and resident safety, but also patients’ rights, food services and administration. Surveyors spend several days in the building reviewing paperwork, observing resident care and interviewing residents and associates.
“I am very happy to have joined an organization that has the corporate support it has,” said Sara Dent, executive director. “In 23-plus years in long-term care and many wonderful surveys, this is the first time I have seen a deficiency-free survey. I feel like the longevity in this facility is the biggest reason for the perfect survey. Everyone is well aware of their responsibilities because they have been here for years.”
The surveyors completed their most recent inspection on July 26, 2018.
